Church of Hope is a “Grace Giving” church. We come to God as we are, and He helps us to grow in His grace. There are five values that guide our church family.

 

G – Glorify God

May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus, so that with one heart and mouth you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. (Romans 15:5-6 NIV)

The true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is Spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth. (John 4:23-24 NIV)

 

R – Reach out to others

 

So His master said, “Go out into the country lanes and behind the hedges and urge anyone you find to come, so that the house will full.” (Luke 14:23 NLT)

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the son and of the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19 NIV)

 

A – Accept people the way God does

Suddenly, a man with leprosy approached Jesus. He knelt before him, worshipping, “Lord,” the man said, “If you want to, you can make me well again.” Jesus touched him. “I want to,” He said. “Be healed!” And instantly the leprosy disappeared. (Matthew 8:2-3 NLT)

Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God. (Romans 15:7 NIV)

 

C – Commit to spiritual growth

 

But you, dear friends, build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit. Keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life. (Jude 1:20-21 NIV)

 

E- Empower you for ministry

 

(God has given)…apostles…prophets…evangelists…pastors and teachers… Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do His work and build up the Church, the body of Christ…that we will be mature and full grown in the Lord… (Ephesians 4:11-13 NLT)
