Hope School of Worship is an 8 week session where children from ages 10-17 are able to learn vocals, drums, percussion, bass guitar, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, piano, keyboard, songwriting, or recording. Students will be able to pick from two categories at no charge. The event will be taking place June 3-July 29 on Mondays from 7PM-8:30PM here at Church of Hope. Piano/ Keyboard

We strive to teach students chord structures, fun lead synthesizers and hopefully a full worship song!

Electric, Acoustic, & Bass Guitar

This is an opportunity for students to learn guitar chords, guitar leads and bass guitar chords.

Drums & Percussion

We aim to familiarize students with each piece of a drum kit, the importance of timing, and how to identify various drum rhythms throughout a song.

Song Recording

In this class students will be able to learn the basics of recording, laying down tracks, and possibly record their own creative idea.

Songwriting

While all the other classes are electives, songwriting is something that every student will participate in as a group. We believe that everyone has a song in their heart. Whether it’s a full song, a chorus, a bridge or a poem, our goal is to teach the importance of writing our thanksgiving down and possibly turning them into songs.

Vocals

Our goal is for each student to learn the difference between a lead vocal and background vocal along with melody and harmony distinction. We will teach pitch, tone, vocal control and proper breathing techniques.
